My name is Steve Farris and I am a native of Orlando, Florida. I attended Valencia College where I obtained my Associates degree.  I moved to Shelbyville, Kentucky in 2013 to be with family and start a second chapter of my life.  I am currently attending the University of Louisville as a part time student eagerly attempting to earn my Bachelors degree in English.

In my spare time I like to travel and work on my genealogy.  I have been to a few countries in Europe, but I would ultimately like to visit all fifty states.  Traveling also coincides with my family tree research.  About once every year, I take a trip to a different town where my ancestors once lived. This allows me to visit various cemeteries and libraries specific to my family. I do most of my research online and at the Kentucky State Archives. I am also a member of the Kentucky Historical Society.
